Human faults are like garden weeds.

Human faults are like garden weeds. They grow without cultivation and soon take over the place if they aren’t thinned out.
Habits are formed so slowly that most of us don’t realize what is happening until the habits are too strongly entrenched to be broken. Seldom can one pattern of behavior be eliminated without replacing it with another. It has been said that nature abhors a vacuum and will always find something to fill a void. The best way to thin out the “weeds,” or faults in your character, is to identify those traits with which you are dissatisfied and replace them with their positive counterparts. If you have a tendency to lose your temper, for example, find a replacement for your anger. Neutralize it with a positive expression or affirmation, such as, “No one can make me angry unless I let them. I will not let anyone else control my emotions.”

EACH FAILURE IS A STEP CLOSER TO SUCCESS

People who try to do something and fail are infinitely better than those who try to do nothing and succeed.

Experiencing failure is inevitable on your journey to be successful.  Each defeat is merely an installment to victory.

You'll find that the number of times you succeed is in direct proportion to the number of times you fail and keep trying.

You won't be judged by the number of times you fail, but by the number of times you succeed.

Failure is nothing but education, nothing but the first step to something better.

You can't be a winner and be afraid to lose.

Purity Ring

First day of high school, Right after homeroom
Shutting my locker and who did I see
Looked like he grew up over the summer
All of a sudden I felt weak in my knees
Flipping my hair up slinging my backpack
Hoping for sure that he would see me

I made a promise to me and my mom
And on my finger is a story to some
Growing up it was just her and me
She cried the day I wore my ring of purity

Flashing a smile he was looking at me
He was my partner during biology
Laughing and grinning cutting a frog up
Going to prom night working a sweat up
We had a great time didn’t even need wine
It was the first time No curfew for me

But I’d made a promise to me and my mom
And on my finger is a story to some
Growing up it was just her and me
She cried the day I wore my ring of purity

He took me for a long walk we snuggled in his pickup
A perfect kiss like I knew it would be
My skin began to tingle my heart flew like an eagle
We were covered by the moonlight
and then I saw the real light
I told him what the ring meant
He said it really made sense
Then we watched the sun rise,
and ate my mom’s pancakes

I made a promise to me and my mom
And on my finger is a story to some
Growing up it was just her and me
She cried the day I wore my ring of purity

There are no easy roads to success

Whatever you want in life, you must give up something to get it. The greater the value, the greater the sacrifice required of you.

Everything has a price. There's a price to pay if you want to make things better, and a price to pay for just leaving things as they are.

Nothing worthwhile ever comes easily. Work, continuous work and hard work, is the only way to accomplish results that last.

Use your imagination more than your memory to achieve success.

The highway to success is a toll road. There is no success at bargain basement prices.

This is as true in everyday life as it is in battle: we are given one life and the decision is ours whether to wait for circumstances to make up our mind, or whether to act, and in acting, to live.
