Won't You be My Valentine

Driving to see you in my pickup truck,
Empty pockets and a smile for luck
Price of gas was really high today,
 I don’t care there’s things I’ve got to say
I saved some money for a little house,
It’s got a dog and a cute brown mouse
I’m afraid you’ll notice that I’m scared today
But it doesn’t matter these things I’ve got to say

I love the way that your hair smells fine
Always glowing in the bright sunshine
Thoughts of you running through my mind
Oh baby won’t you be my Valentine

My momma told me that I had no sense,
She said you’d want a white picket fence
She still gave us some pots and pans,
and a grill to barbecue when we can
I saved some money for a little house,
It’s got a dog and a cute brown mouse
Oh you can name him if you come with me,
Oh, what the heck you gonna do with me

The wind was blowing through the pickup truck,
When you see the house it’ll be good luck
Your hair was glowing in the bright sunshine
And just like always you smelled so fine

I saved some money for a little house,
It’s got a dog and a cute brown mouse
I know you’ll name him since you came with me
Oh what the heck you gonna do with me

Now take your hands and hide your eyes,
Then that dog ruined my surprise
He had noticed that you smelled so fine,
and he kissed you like a valentine

I love the way that your hair smells fine
Always glowing in the bright sunshine
Thoughts of you are running through my mind
Oh baby won’t you be my Valentine

I know you’ll name him since you came with me
Oh what the heck you gonna do with me
Thoughts of you are running through my mind
Oh baby won’t you be my Valentine

I got an email from an old girlfriend

I got an email from an old girlfriend
What was she thinking when she pushed the send
Attached to it was a cute photo
A little girl who was two years old

You used to say that you would marry me
When we rode the highways in our SUV’s
We talked about the world that we would see
You used to say that you would marry me

Three years ago It was just a text
She said the two of us had nothing left
It was a day that I almost cried
She said a baby rabbit died

You used to say that you would marry me
When we rode the highways in our SUV’s
We talked about the world that we would see
You used to say that you would marry me

You always called when you lost your luck
You’d say Hey Babe can you lend a buck
I got an email from an old girlfriend
What was she thinking when she pushed the send

You used to say that you would marry me
When we rode the highways in our SUV’s
We talked about the world that we would see
You used to say that you would marry me

Today I drive an old pickup truck
The seat next to me is filled with junk
My bed is covered by a big ol’ tent
Surrounded by a white picket fence

And even now I still dream of you
You know I wanted a baby too
You used to say that you would marry me
When we rode the highways in our SUV’s

You used to say that you would marry me
When we rode the highways in our SUV’s
We talked about the world that we would see
You used to say that you would marry me

Sunsets of Arizona

I remember when I was a little guy
Watching plane trails in the sky
Always wondering where they went
Catching rides could be heaven sent

Grabbed a greyhound and I headed west
One way ticket so I’d take the test
Wearing boots leaving Ohio
Gonna ride some bulls on the rodeo

I’ve seen the cities with their neon skies
I’ve heard the people always telling lies
Now I’ve told you that I’ve seen the rest
Let me tell you what I love the best
From Tuscon to Sedona
I love the sunsets of Arizona

I kissed a girl in Cheyenne
She was my nurse when I broke my hand
Headed south down to Mesquite
Riding bulls there can’t be beat

Did real good there made some money
Guess I’ll find me another honey
Had enough now I’m Vegas bound
After that it’ll be Tinsel Town

I’ve seen the cities with their neon skies
I’ve heard the people always telling lies
Now I’ve told you that I’ve seen the rest
Let me tell you what I love the best
From Tuscon to Sedona
I love the sunsets of Arizona

Tinsel Town has a Row-day-o
Sure ain’t nothing like Idaho
They ride the bulls up in Bakersfield
All the people there get the thrill

I hugged a clown in Sparks-Reno
He saved my life in the rodeo
Heading south cause I need a rest
To a place that I love the best

I’ve seen the cities with their neon skies
I’ve heard the people always telling lies
Now I’ve told you that I’ve seen the rest
Let me tell you what I love the best
From Tuscon to Sedona
I love the sunsets of Arizona

From Tucson to Sedona
I love the sunsets of Arizona
