Stopped by the grocery store today
I saw a lady and I watched her pray
Could you spare a dollar today
For a chocolate bar okay
As I turned and walked away
That was when; I heard her pray
Thank you Lord what you do for me
You set me free from the misery
You stopped the strife and you filled my life
Thank you Lord for my beautiful life
Thank you Lord what you do for me
You set me free from the misery
You stopped the strife and you filled my life
Thank you Lord for my beautiful life
A bill collector called and woke me up
Said they’re gonna come and take my truck
Rolled out of bed and went to work
Decked my boss cause he’s such a jerk
What the heck was he gonna say
And in my mind; I heard the lady pray
Thank you Lord what you do for me
You set me free from the misery
You stopped the strife and you filled my life
Thank you Lord for my beautiful life
You know my temper gets the best of me
But I don’t want any sympathy
I gotta do what I know is right
Oh Lord let me see the light
I wasn’t sure what I ought to say
Dear lady; teach me to pray
Thank you Lord what you do for me
You set me free from the misery
You stopped the strife and you filled my life
Thank you Lord for my beautiful life
Thank you Lord what you do for me
You set me free from the misery
You stopped the strife and you filled my life
Thank you Lord for my beautiful life
